Hydrotherapy, or aquatic therapy is beneficial for post operative, neurological, arthritic and weight loss patients.

The buoyancy of water helps to relieve pressure on sore joints. It can also help hold up those patients that are weak.  Resistance and turbulence from water can help strengthen muscles and improve range of motion. The sensation from the water around the body can also aid in stimulation for neurological patients. There is also hydrostatic pressure that is applied from water that can help with reducing swelling that commonly occurs after surgery.

At Canine Pain Relief we have an underwater treadmill with hydrotherapy jets and an incline function for greater strengthening.
