About
Joanne works at the Kitchener Waterloo Humane Society as an Animal Care Attendant, where she learned about Canine Pain Relief (CPR). She wanted to learn more about animal medicine, since she's already seen the pet-food testing side previously, and now shelter medicine. Thanks to Jen at CPR, she is already learning the basics of rehabilitation in companion animals. Joanne is considering to pursue a Vet Technician program after she completes her undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo.
In her spare time, she fosters many of the small animals at the shelter, from rabbits, to guinea pigs, and even the occasional hedgehog! She leads a busy life, even working part-time at Pet Valu. When time allows, she enjoys boxing, rock climbing, and skiing in the Winter.
At home, she has her two cats, Violet & Dash, hedgehog, Wilbur, corn snake, Skellington, sand boa, Bruno, and two freshwater tanks.
